anter Professional Management sponsors two conferences annually. Both of these conference involve a high degree of participation by registrants, who must be partners in their law firms.

Kanter Large Law Firm Lawyer Recruitment Conference. This conference has been held annually in Chicago in late April or early May since 1987. Hiring partners and other partners on hiring committees from firms with more than 150 lawyers are eligible to attend. Participating firms provide detailed statistical information on their recruiting results to Kanter Professional Management, which prepares a confidential report based on these statistics that does not identify the results of any specific firm. These statistics allow registrants to compare their results with other large law firms around the country. Eligible firms who wish to register should contact Kanter Professional Management.

Kanter Hiring Partner/Associate Issues Conference. This conference has been limited to twenty large law firms from around the country and has been held each February since 1984 at locations that rotate between the East and West Coasts and New Orleans. Half of the conference deals with recruitment of lawyers and half deals with associate issues, with most firms sending different partner representatives to the two halves of the conference. The conference extends for five days, with a break over the weekend. Attendance is by invitation, with almost every spot filled by attendees at the prior year's conference.
